We’re pleased to announce that SOLVONK4, the dry cleaning solvent in the SYSTEMK4 dry cleaning process, is now biobased and has been awarded the USDA BioPreferred ® product label.Our company has met the high standards set forth by the USDA Secretary of Agriculture.
The USDA Certified BioPreferred® Product label has been designed to readily identify products with verified biobased content. Our label indicates that SOLVONK4 is 88% certified biobased and the FP means that is has qualified for Mandatory Federal Purchasing. The logo symbolizes the sun, the soil, and aquatic environments.
Kreussler Inc. is the only textile chemistry company to offer biobased and USDA BioPreferred products in the dry cleaning industry. Biobased contains renewable plant, marine, and forestry-based resources not derived from petroleum.
Working with Green Biologics and their facility in Minnesota, Kreussler Inc. is now making dry cleaning solvent from corn grown by about 500 family-owned farms in the heartland of America. Bio-derived and sustainable are words never before applied to the dry-cleaning industry until now. SOLVONK4 offers one single ultrapure solvent that cleans better than Perc without any of the environmental or health-related concerns.
